Adding this to the list of Sundance films I want to see. (Already on there: Beats Rhymes & Life and Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey).
The portrayal of women in mass media is an interesting topic for me since I work in the gaming industry (where, c’mon, have you seen what this industry considers armor for women in most of these games?). How a majority of women are shown in videogames doesn’t offend me because it’s fantasy-based, but I realize that same argument can be used for a lot of the images that were shown in the trailer. It’s a subject I go over a lot in my head and maybe this documentary will help me better understand where I fit into the spectrum. I think I’ll hit these guys up to see if I can host a screening.
