One of my design instructors once said that if you surround yourself with garbage you will only ever produce garbage.
I was a Girl Scout for six years until I was 14-years-old and “realized” that it was terribly uncool to try and slang Girl Scout cookies to my high school friends and their families. Growing up in suburban sprawl being a Girl Scout meant my ass roughed it in the woods, learned how to cook food over an open flame, rode a horse, slept under the stars and did a bunch of things that I never would have done otherwise.
This image was originally made by the right-wing to try and prevent people from supporting this now “radical” organization, but instead it’s made me even more proud that some of my formative years were shaped by this group. Guess who’s buying a ton of Girl Scout cookies this year?
