Hi guys,

This has been coming up a lot so I thought it merited a quick email rather than continuing to edit it every time I see it.

Pixelated – refers to visible pixels, like when a low-res image is blown up and you can see the pixels, or a style that deliberately looks like that.

Pixilated – This means eccentric or whimsical – it comes from the word pixie. It’s also used to refer to a stop motion animation technique.

Pixelization – This is like genitals on Japanese pron. It’s the scrambling mosaic.

So, just remember when you’re referring to pixels use the word with PIXEL in it.
