Saiyuki: Artbook/Boyband/Waiter/Valet Sanzo

Full credit for the creation of these bad boys must be given to AJ, ZiggyB and Moo. We all wanted to go to Yaoi Con but couldn't think of what to wear... so a week before the con we decided to make these artbook outfits that the characters from Saiyuki wear. Yeah, a week. Don't ask. All I provided in the creation of these costumes was a warm body (they needed a Sanzo) and hair styling "skills" (check out Moo/Hakkai's wig).

These outfits got dubbed the "Boyband/Waiter/Valet" outfits because while wearing them at Yaoi Con we would randomly break out into song (Backstreet Boys' "I Want it That Way"), try to park cars, or offer to get people drinks. I'm sure we could've passed for hotel staff if we tried.

My first crossplay and the first time I ever wore a wig (I do NOT look good as a blonde. LOL) If you want to see more Saiyuki Boyband madness, check out Usagichan.com's Saiyuki's Museum of Urban Art. We had a lot of fun in these costumes, to say the least.
